Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS] ("Sparkslingo", "we"). By creating an account or using the app, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Sparkslingo.

1. What Sparkslingo does

Sparkslingo is a journal for learning a language. You write in the language you are learning. When you ask, an AI provider reviews what you wrote and proposes changes. Each change is explained, and can become a practice exercise. The product is in active development, so features may change or be removed.

2. What Sparkslingo is not

• It is not a course and it does not certify anything. Nothing in the app is a statement that you have reached a level in a language.
• It is not a professional adviser. Do not treat a review as legal, medical, academic or financial advice.
• The AI can be wrong. A correction is a suggestion, not a verdict. You decide what to accept, and your original text is always kept so you can check the suggestion against it.

3. Your account

You need an account, created by signing in with an email address or a Google account. Keep access to that email address, because it is how you sign in and how we reach you. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your device secure. You must be old enough to consent to data processing where you live; the Privacy Policy explains our position on children.

4. Your writing stays yours

You own your journals. We claim no ownership of what you write, and a review never overwrites your original text.

To run the service, you give us a limited licence to do four things with a journal: store it, send its text to our AI provider when you ask for a review, store the review and corrections that come back, and display all of it to you. That licence exists only to operate Sparkslingo for you. It ends when you delete the journal or your account, apart from records we are required to keep, which the Privacy Policy describes.

5. Fair use

Please do not:

• write or store content that is unlawful, or use the app to harass anyone;
• try to break, overload, or reverse engineer the service;
• resell the service or access it in bulk by automated means;
• attempt to reach another person's data.

We may suspend an account that does any of these things.

6. AI output

Reviews are generated by a third party whose output we do not control. A review can be wrong, incomplete, or different the next time you ask. We do not guarantee that a suggestion is idiomatic, current, or accepted in every region where the language is spoken.

7. Availability and changes

Sparkslingo is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available, and we may change, pause or remove any part of it. Where a change materially affects you, we will say so in the app or by email.

8. Price

Sparkslingo is free to use today. If we introduce a paid plan, we will tell you before anything is charged, and nothing will be charged without your agreement. No paid plan exists as of the effective date above.

9. Ending your use

You may stop using Sparkslingo at any time. You can delete a journal yourself in the app, and you can ask us to erase your whole account; the Privacy Policy explains how, and why that is currently a request rather than a button. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Sparkslingo is provided without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for a decision you took on the strength of an AI review. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indonesian law that cannot be waived, including under the Consumer Protection Law and the Personal Data Protection Law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Indonesia. Disputes are subject to the courts of [CITY], unless the law gives you the right to bring a claim somewhere else.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Sparkslingo after a change means you accept the new terms.
