Why recurring mistakes are the real lesson

·Sparkslingo

Every correction you get is about one sentence. That is useful once. You fix the sentence, and the sentence is now right. But most people do not make one mistake once. They make the same mistake, in different sentences, for years, and never notice, because each sentence is fixed in isolation and the sentence was never the problem.

The pattern is the problem.

Sparkslingo keeps a running profile of the corrections it has made on your writing: not a score, a list. Past tense. Articles. Prepositions. The form of the entry does not matter. What matters is that the third time you write have explain, the app can say so. A single correction is an event. The same correction a dozen times is something you can finally work on, instead of rediscovering it and fixing one more sentence.

That is what the profile on the Progress screen is for, and it is why the app records the pattern beside every correction rather than only the fix. The correction tells you what was wrong in that sentence. The pattern tells you what to do next.

None of this requires the AI to be clever. It requires it to remember, which is a database’s job rather than a model’s, and to be honest about the difference between “this sentence was wrong” and “you keep doing this”. The first is a correction. The second is what you actually came for.
